Evening Program

Our joyful evening programs this year feature a vibrant mix of games and musical performances—including contributions from artists Van Gilmer and Colby Jeffers. They will share interactive performances on Saturday and Sunday evenings respectively.

Each evening is thoughtfully designed to be engaging and inclusive, so that participants of all ages can come together to learn, laugh, and be uplifted.

Van Gilmer

An Evening of

History, Reflection & Harmony

Saturday, July 4, 7:30 pm

Join us for a powerful evening featuring Van Gilmer, a voice in the historic 1960 Woolworth’s sit-ins in Greensboro, North Carolina. Deeply involved at NC A&T State University, Van was apart of the movement that led to integration across America. Tonight, he shares this pivotal history through songs and stories of a movement that changed the nation—a piece of history now preserved in the Smithsonian Museum.

Colby Jeffers

“ A Better World” Concert

Sunday, July 5, 7:30 pm

Colby Jeffers is a Bahá’í-inspired rapper from Phoenix, Arizona with a mission to uplift, educate, and inspire humanity to build a better world.

Colby will be performing his ‘Better World’ concert, an interactive musical experience that combines hip hop, storytelling, reflection, and audience participation to explore themes of unity, justice, service, and our collective capacity to contribute to a more peaceful world.

“The institution of the Summer School constitutes a vital and inseparable part of any teaching campaign, and as such ought to be given the full importance it deserves in the teaching plans and activities of the believers.”
